TiCN has a lower coefficient of friction and higher hardness than TiN. Products coated with TICN are more suitable for cutting hard materials such as stainless steel, titanium alloys and nickel alloys, and are more resistant to abrasion and high-temperature stability, which significantly improves the life of the tool. With lower internal stress, higher toughness, good lubricity, and high hardness and wear resistance, it is suitable for applications requiring lower coefficient of friction and higher hardness.
